J Roger Preston (S) Pte Ltd is an engineering consultancy, providing mechanical and electrical building services engineering to the full range of construction projects including Building, Industrial, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial and Retail sectors. J Roger Preston & Partners Pte Ltd was formed in Singapore in 1982 providing independent Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic consulting engineering services. Working predominantly in the Commercial Building sector, the Singapore practice became a regional centre of the JRP Asia Pacific group operating in a number of countries regionally. In 1997, the Singapore and Hong Kong Management acquired full ownership of the firm’s consulting line of business in Singapore. The original company, J. Roger Preston and Partners Pte Ltd has now changed its name to J Roger Preston (S) Pte Ltd. Within the region, the JRP Group of Companies currently employs in excess of 500 engineers and technical staff in established offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and Vietnam. As one of two regional offices within the Asia Pacific (the other being in Hong Kong) the Singapore office employs a staff level of more than 80. Headed by Managing Director Mr Rick Eng, Directors Mr Danny Ho, Ms S'ng Jiek Wai, Ms Anna Lee and Mr Eddie Low the practice is centred around a core team of key and experienced Senior Engineers and Project Engineers. The Singapore office is now operating on the basis of a regional practice in South East Asia, handling projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Maldives, Seychelles Island, Cambodia and Vietnam and also providing project design work and support for our subsidiary offices in Malaysia and Vietnam. JRP has been in Malaysia for more than 25 years. In Malaysia, our office is headed by two Professional Engineers and has a total staff strength of 60. Our clients include national government authorities, commercial and industrial enterprise, multinational organisations and international funding agencies.
OUR PHILOSOPHY The management of JRP comprises directors who play active roles and participate in the development of the engineering design and project administration of the projects undertaken by the practice. To enhance a hands-on design approach, multi-disciplinary design groups have been created, each guided by a Director, and senior engineering staff. The project team structure is an expression of the JRP group management style emphasising personal involvement, teamwork, innovation and creativity. Our Directors maintain a close relationship with the project design team and client throughout each project. We provide building services as our main core of business. JRP has successfully completed a wide range of prestigious projects for government and private sector clients in the region. Our involvement begins with the planning phase and continues through to implementation, completion and maintenance.
