Hotel Bela Vista, Macau
Year
1992

The Hotel Bela Vista, set amidst landscaped gardens on the slopes of Colina da Penha, has been part of Macau for more than a century.  The hotel offers Macau’s finest accommodation in eight luxurious suites and one restaurant, each reflecting the distinctive character of a traditional Portuguese home with oriental accents.

The building has transformed many times over, from private home, school, and refugee center to modest hotel. Now, the landmark was turned into the residence of the Portuguese consul-general since Macau is handed back to China on December 20, 1999.
