The Hong Kong Polytechnic accommodates 8,000 full-time and 20,000 part-time evening students.

The services JRP provided include air-conditioning having an installed capacity of 9500kW.  Heat rejection from the system is achieved utilising a sea water cooling system.  Installed boiler plant (2500kW) supplying steam at nominal 7 bar heating and process plant installed throughout the complex.  A building automation system is installed and monitors the fire protection, security and services installations.  Plumbing and drainage, wet fire fighting, electrical services, fire detection and alarm, and PABX systems were also provided to meet the complete building services requirements of the Complex.
